CogniCare is an app for families looking after someone with dementia. It is designed to improve the caring experience by providing advice and resources to help with daily tasks and promote the carer's wellbeing.
All the information needed for those looking after Dementia patients, in a single app !
Dr Helen Kenealy, Geriatrician and General Physician, New Zealand
An app to tailor dementia care needs to an individual, designed to monitor and track activities including note taking, audio, reports on request, resources and events search function. The basics of this app are very useful for caregivers living or in close contact with someone with dementia. Currently the functions such as support services and events are all UK based so not relevant to New Zealand. But I feel there is plenty there to be of use to a New Zealand-based person. You can use the app for the resources without getting a login if you prefer. If you want to get a login then it will be more personalised and can help record and track and report on relevant activities.

The App is the most used on my iPhone. The information I get is First Class and a real support to me and my wife of 54 years as her carer. It’s being able to access all that you require 24 hours a day for all issues relating to supporting my wife with Alzheimer's.

Very useful app for family carers of people with dementia. Easy to use, even for older people who arent great with technology. Really like that you can also access the information in the app via Alexa. Will continue to use this for my Grandfather.

This is exactly what I was thinking needs to exist. It’s just brilliant.”

This is the app that, until now, I have been searching for in vain. When four of my friends were diagnosed with dementia in one year, their carers set about finding help. This took up far more time than they had available as the information had to be sourced from so many places. Now they can turn to the CogniCare App to find answers to all their needs on one site. Brilliant.

Over the last decade I have seen a drastic increase in patients with Alzheimer’s or Parkinson. CogniCare will help me understand my patients better and therefore suggest a more personalised care plan.

Founder of Tapas
With CogniCare, caregivers at Tapas can now monitor all the residents with more ease and keep track of their conditions in a detailed manner. The app also means I don't have to keep files of papers anymore and can be more transparent with the resident's families.
Deputy Director of Alzheimer Scotland
Over the last year the CogniHealth team have embedded their App development in a human rights based approach across our dementia community in Scotland. The team are working diligently to ensure they have a digital option for carers, that has been thoughtfully produced, and have been supported by Alzheimer Scotland in this journey.
Handy to have all the information in one place and very accessible.
